Tiahuanaco is located 72 km from La Paz; it was one of the oldest centers of the American culture and considered the cradle of the American man - and one of the most developed in its time. Its main buildings are the Temple of Kalasasaya, with its most notable work in the Puerta del Sol (Gate of the Sun), Ponce and Fraile monoliths, Akapana pyramid and semi-subterranean temple. You will visit the two museums of the place to learn more about their work in ceramics and stone.

Return to La Paz.

Bus to the peninsula of Copacabana, located at 151km from the city of La Paz with an impressive view of the Cordillera Real.

Crossing the lake by motor boat you arrive to the southern area of the island. Here you will visit the archaeological remains of Pilkokaina, a temple of the Inca, and a religious center. Then a short walk the Yumani stairs to the Fountain of Youth where you can purify yourself by drinking its holy water. Then we return to Copacabana.

After breakfast two hour tour around the beautiful Copacabana, visiting the sanctuary of the Virgen Morena, the local fair and then ascend to the Calvary where will appreciate a ceremony to bless and invoke family protection.

Return to La Paz.

Transfer to Alto-La Paz airport.

Flight to Uyuni.

At 10:00 am, firstly you will travel to South visiting the train graveyard, then on the high plateau you will cross villages like San Cristóbal and Culpina K until reaching the beautiful valleys of Alota (3 hours). Then you will see mountains with a lot of erosion on their stones until arriving to Villamar village (1 hour).

Early morning trip entering the REA (National Reserve Eduardo Abaroa), visiting Laguna Colorada (2 hours), declared a RAMSAR site due to the nesting of over 30,000 flamingos at 4,278 m. Then up to geysers “Sol de Mañana", pass alongside Challviri lagoon, with its hot spring in the shores of Polques. Cross through the high desert of Pampas de Dali, with amazing views, to finally reach Laguna Verde (3 hours), in the foothills of the Licancabur Mountain. Trip back to laguna Colorada, enter the high deserts of Siloli, visiting Arbol de Piedra and finally reach Ojos de Perdiz (4 hours - 4,531m).

Morning trip north through the Hedionda and Cañapa minor lagoons and continue east through branches of the range, reaching the valley of Alota (2 hours). North through the highlands passing the villages of San Agustin and San Juan (2 hours), entering in Chuvica to the great Uyuni salt flat crossing to "Isla Incahuasi" (1 hour), a special habitat of volcanic rocks and giant cactus. Continue east to the village of Colchani (2 hours), where the locals produce salt. Enjoy a great sunset, overnight in salt hotel.

A 4 hours city tour through La Paz, elected as one of the 7 wonder cities in the world. It is in a valley at the foothills of the Andes Range, situated at 3,632m / 11942 ft. above sea level. The tour goes through the street markets rich in handicrafts, weavings and witchcraft items, followed by a visit to the colonial section of the city, San Francisco Church, Gold Museum, Murillo Square also visit to the viewpoint "Mirador de Killi Killi"; and the outdoor replica of Tiwanaku temple. Then descending to the more modern, southern part of La Paz to reach and visit the Valley of the Moon, where a clay mountain has been impressively shaped by erosion. Ride by cable car “Teleférico”, it’s an excellent choice to discover an excellent and beautiful view of La Paz. This is a must for every one! Note: cable car ride can change day according to the itinerary.
